Patio Stone Installation

Six Easy Steps to installing your patio

1.  Compact 2-4 inches of gravel or sand.

2.  Make sure that you will be laying your pad in an area where they won't move around.  To prevent this, either sink the pad down in the ground, or use landscape lumber around the edges.

3.  Make sure the surface that you will be laying the patio stones on is reasonably level. (If it's not perfectly level you can get away with it because of the natural look of the stone.)

4.  Lay your 18x18 patio pavers down on the flat surface, making sure that they are tight together

5. If cutting is required, get a mason blade for your circular saw and cut through the concrete patio stone.  Or you can also score the top of the slab with the saw and break it off on a hard surface. (similar to drywall.)

6.  After your pad is laid down, pour some fine grain sand over your patio and then sweep the sand between the cracks.  After it rains a few times you will have to repeat step 6.
